We are pleased to announce that selected models of carbon monoxide (CO) detectors from the Virone and ORNO for home brands have successfully passed the national assessment and verification of constancy of performance carried out by the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB).
The certification covered the DC-6, DC-10, DC-12, DC-14 and OR-DC-639 models. Its purpose was to confirm the compliance of the devices with the requirements of the PN-EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021 standard. Following the successful completion of the certification process, the above-mentioned carbon monoxide detectors have been marked with the B Construction Mark.
The PN-EN 50291-1:2018+AC:2021 standard specifies requirements for the construction, performance and test methods of electrical carbon monoxide detectors intended for continuous operation in residential premises. Compliance with its requirements confirms that the devices have been verified, among other aspects, for their ability to correctly detect hazardous concentrations of carbon monoxide and effectively warn users by means of an alarm signal. It confirms that the devices meet the specified technical, functional and safety requirements applicable to this type of equipment.
